Ti Korea selected for Maersk’s first large-scale VLAC series at HD Hyundai Samho Starting in November 2025, Ti Korea will commence cargo tank insulation work for the 93,000 m³ VLAC (Very Large Ammonia Carrier) new building project ordered by Maersk at HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI). This project marks Maersk’s first-ever gas carrier program, representing a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into the clean ammonia transportation market. Recognising Ti Korea’s proven track record in cryogenic insulation for gas carriers, both Maersk and HSHI have selected Ti Korea as the insulation contractor for the entire series. A total of 10 vessels are scheduled to be constructed and delivered by 2028, and Ti Korea is proud to contribute to this pioneering collaboration that supports the global transition toward low-carbon maritime solutions.
